Another reminder of what a president actually sounds like. Jeez, I miss him. A great man speaking of other great men. May God bless them all.

Thank you for posting, Tammy, this wonderful and deserving tribute from a great leader.

President Reagan said, “I wasn’t a great communicator, but I communicated great things, and they didn’t spring full-bloom from my brow — they came from the heart of a great nation.”

Indeed, this was a great thing he communicated.

Yes. Reagan was a grownup. Do we have grownups left to take power and heal our dying nation? Or are they all charlatans, seeking to grasp the best chairs on the Titanic?

Compare President Reagan to quotes from 0bama & Clinton on the same day. His entire speech was so magnificent; his words poetry.

“Behind me is a memorial that symbolizes the Ranger daggers that were thrust into the top of these cliffs. These are the boys of Pointe du Hoc. These are the men who took the cliffs. These are the champions who helped free a continent. These are the heroes who helped end a war.” — President Ronald Reagan

    No comparison..

“It was unknowable then, but so much of the progress that would define the 20th century, on both sides of the Atlantic, came down to the battle for a slice of beach only 6 miles long and 2 miles wide.” — President Barack Obama

“We know that progress is not inevitable. But neither was victory upon these beaches. Now, as then, the inner voice tells us to stand up and move forward. Now, as then, free people must choose.” — President Bill Clinton

Sounds like the only thing close to the heart of the last two is some academic blather. They come off as soulless empty vessels compared with President Reagan.
