arab stone-throwers

The New York Times anti-Israel bias is revealed in their original headline, which reads in full (with no mention of the perpetrators):

“Jewish Man Dies as Rocks Pelt His Car in West Bank”

It was then ‘corrected,’ to read: “Jewish Man Dies as Rocks Pelt His Car in East Jerusalem”

More precise location…still no perpetrators.

However, in another gem from the Times, a story about a Moscow diner reported that it had “human-size figures of Porky the Pig and Marilyn Monroe.”

But here, the editors felt that they had committed a grave error, and it was corrected, with an explanation.

If you can’t spot the problem, see below:

Via Weekly Standard: Mysterious Headline Appears in Paper

According to the New York Times, rocks now throw themselves. Or at least that’s what The Scrapbook was forced to conclude upon reading the paper’s curious headline: “Jewish Man Dies as Rocks Pelt His Car in West Bank.” The Times eventually “corrected” this headline, but only after it appeared in print. It now reads “Jewish Man Dies as Rocks Pelt His Car in East Jerusalem.” So the Times obviously gave this some thought. The editors realized they had gotten the location wrong, but remained untroubled by the notion of self-propelled rocks.

The body of the article didn’t do a lot to clarify what happened, either. The article began, “A Jewish man died early Monday morning after attackers pelted the road he was driving on with rocks.” We fail to see how pelting the road killed the driver, and the article’s slouching toward literacy did not much improve thereafter. At National Review, Kevin Williamson went so far as to “copy edit” the entire embarrassing piece, an exercise that amply demonstrated that the article was written with the intention of avoiding at all costs the primary fact that the attackers were Palestinians out for blood and that a “Jewish man was murdered for the crime of driving while Jewish.”….

Via Weekly Standard: Journalistic Correctness

Sticklers will be relieved to know that the New York Times wasted no time in repudiating a gross error that appeared in its pages on September 12. A reporter described the “gaudy décor” at the Beverly Hills Diner, a restaurant in Moscow, as including “human-size figures of Porky the Pig and Marilyn Monroe.”

You see the problem, right? No? Well, here is the next day’s correction: “An earlier version of this article misstated the name of a cartoon character. He is Porky Pig, not Porky the Pig.”….

New York the Times. Oh my bad, I shall correct that. Not Your Times. Much better.

Rocks Attack. NYT must just be somebody’s plaything, stock price is down 75 percent since 9/11. A readership dumb as rocks must be hard to find.

The take over of the various media mediums and the education system by the left all over the world is quite frightening. The masses have been dumbed down to the point that there is no independent thought or reasoning.

It seems that anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic (as in anti-Jews) bias is just another feather for the vile “press” to use in their “fair reporting” fan dance for the dumbed-down masses. The so-called Fourth Estate has been a Fifth Column for decades … at least since the Vietnam era. The press occupies a special niche in my hierarchy of despised entities.

In this age of victims, I paused for a moment at the identification of the murdered man as “Jewish”; perhaps makes the Jew the victim, and thus the good guy? But the “West Bank” part implicitly shifts the narrative; if only those Jews give back that stolen land, then this wouldn’t happen. Jews shouldn’t go where they don’t belong; in this respect they’re different from other minorities. I don’t know where these rules come from, but we ignore them at our peril.

The media loves to use the passive form of the verbiage when it wishes to soften the report. Instead of “So-and-so threw a rock”, you’ll see a phrase like “Violence broke out”. It’s just one of those things, like a thunderstorm, that happens all by itself. An act of God, as it were.

Didn’t know rocks can be violently anti-semitic, so much so that they will fling themselves at Jewish man and kill him.

The islamophile press and the truth can swerve in to one another, but the press avoids it.

What sad times we live in. Gone are the days of the pet rock. Now the rocks are attacking.

On Tuesday, Sept. 29, NYT published column, 27 Ways to Be a Modern Man. No. 25 was; “The modern man has no use for a gun. He doesn’t own one, and he never will.”

I presume that NYT is patting itself on the back following yesterday’s Oregon CC shooting. #Mr.Scratch
